Mandalas in Movement - Art Workshop

Join us as we explore the captivating intersection of sound and visual art through drawing and auditory activities inspired by the thought forms described by C.W. Leadbeater and the fascinating world of cymatics.

By combining the ancient practice of mandala creation with the power of sound, participants will use vibrations to influence and shape their drawings, creating intricate patterns that reflect the dynamic relationship between sound and form.

Guided by Leadbeater’s exploration of the energetic symbols of thought and the mesmerizing visual representations of sound waves in cymatics, this workshop invites you to deepen your connection to the unseen forces that shape both the mind and the universe, allowing your inner visions to flow through both sound and art.

In this workshop, the activity component will blend sound and drawing to create a multi-sensory experience. Participants will start by listening to specific sound frequencies, each designed to evoke different emotional or mental states. These sounds will include musical tones that influence the energy around them. As the sound vibrations fill the space, participants will observe how the sounds manifest visually through patterns.

Then, using this inspiration, they will transition to drawing their own mandalas, allowing the rhythms, tones, and frequencies they experienced to guide their hand movements. The act of drawing becomes a direct translation of sound into form, tapping into subconscious thought patterns and energies.

This process mirrors the concept of thought forms from Leadbeater’s work, where the mind’s focus creates tangible shapes. Throughout the session, participants will have opportunities to reflect on the patterns they create and explore how different sounds impact their artistic expression.

All are welcome, no previous experience necessary!
