Divining the Dreaming: exploring the mythic dimensions of landscape

By Alanna Moore, 1.30 - 3.30 pm, 30 November 2024.

Venue:Melbourne Lodge

Since ancient times, seers have described the parallel world of nature spirits and deities. Peeling away the biased accounts of medieval monks, one finds archaic fragments of mythos of the Other worlds, also in children’s stories. Best of all, we can encounter their presences directly. As a dowser, who divines the presence of energetic forms, Alanna has developed the ability to locate the spirits of nature in their haunts and she will talk about some of her experiences.

Alanna Moore has been exploring the multiple dimensions of landscape for over 40 years, starting in Sydney, where she helped to found the Dowsers Society of NSW in 1984, and going on to teach the art of geomancy across Australia, New Zealand and Europe. She now lives in Ireland and continues to help people to experience the spiritual reality of land and nature. She discovered Theosophical books when she was 14 and found out that she was not alone in having Otherworldly perceptions. Alanna is the author of ten books on mostly esoteric subjects. Her latest book is 'Fairy Haunts of Ireland'. Her website is www.geomantica.com
