This presentation gives an overview how in the midst of “the cult of domesticity” in the late 19th century TS woman defied convention and enhanced the position of the ‘mother of the New Age’.
We will focus on the key issues that concerned these woman, the life-styles they favoured, and the agendas they engaged in.
The presentation marks International Woman’s Day: 8th March celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
